Francesca Onorato, 16, from Natick, Massachusetts, shared a tear-jerking clip of her family saying goodbye to grandmother, shortly before she died of COVID-19.
The viral video stressed on the need to stay at home during coronavirus pandemic. Grandmother Roberta, 81, had been admitted to a nursing home after catching coronavirus in April.
Francesca disclosed that her grandmother Roberta was unable to answer on the phone because she was taking morphine. But the family is thankful that they got a chance to say a final goodbye to the grandmother on the phone.
Francesca’s mum Linda talked to her mother on the phone for the last time. Linda said in the emotional clip: “I love you mom so much ok. You are the best mommy in the whole world. Love you, mom, you have a good night.”
When Francesca uploaded the video she received emotional responses of thousands. The family knows that her survival chances were low.
Talking about her grandmother Francesca said she was the kind lady and she never hurt her family. Roberta was an awesome person.
Francesca wrote the emotional message for people on Tik Tok. She wrote: “Please call your loved ones and say you love them. I’m just thankful the last thing I said to my grandma was I love you. Rest in peace.”
She received positive responses for her video and people shared their condolences for the family. The novel coronavirus is highly contagious and it has infected 2,006,260 people around the globe. There have been 126,872 deaths from coronavirus worldwide.
