Irish nationalist party leader Mary Lou McDonald has been diagnosed with coronavirus. Sinn Fein’s leader was given a test on March 28 and got the result yesterday.
Earlier, she revealed that a child in her own children’s school tested positive for coronavirus. In a statement, she disclosed that she has received her COVID-19 test result and she tested positive for the virus.
She said that the public health doctor informed her that she is no more infectious after remaining unwell for a week.
Ms. McDonald said: “I had a setback in my recovery at the weekend and developed post-viral pleurisy in my right lung. I am on medication and responding very well, and I fully expect to be back at work next Monday.”
McDonald party won the most votes in national election in February.
