Queen Elizabeth ll, who is turning 94 this Tuesday, has canceled the guns salute on her birthday. This is the first time in her monarchy of 68 years when she canceled the gun salute.
By considering the severe pandemic situation in the country, she has prohibited to do any sort of celebration on her special day. The queen is currently residing at Windsor Castle.
She thinks it’s inappropriate to have such kind of celebration on her special day. The country has lost more than 14,000 lives due to coronavirus. She said there will be no flags flying on the buildings.
By keeping in view the rule of ‘social distancing’, there will be no special celebration or gathering would be marked on Queen’s birthday.
The queen emphasized the cause of lockdown during ester in a broadcast saying ’by keeping apart we keep others safe’.
Queen will celebrate her birthday in a private ceremony with her husband at the Winsord on 19th of March. Prince William, her grandson has said that it’s good for their safety to stay in the castle.
‘We are trying to keep them in isolation to stay protected from the virus’. He said in an interview along with his wife Kate Middleton.
It’s not for the first time she’s calling of her birthday. One of Queen’s bridesmaids alive has unveiled that it has taken place one time in the past as well. The time her birthday came on the same day on Adolf Hitler’s.
Queen addressed the public on April 5th. She strengthens the spirits of people. She advised people to remain united to fight with the pandemic.
