NHS Nurse Find A Note Calling Her A Disgrace After Completing 12 Hours Shift

NHS nurse battling Britain’s coronavirus outbreak was devastated to be left a note calling her a ‘disgrace’ after a tiring 12-hour shift. She leaves her home each day for work at Peterborough Hospital, Cambridgeshire.

NHS nurse Bex Williams returned home after completing a 12-hour night shift. She was shocked after reading the note pushed through her letterbox.

Bex Williams was already struggling. She is a single mom. She left her children to her brother’s home while she worked.

When she reached her home in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire she found a note on her door step. When she opened the note she was heartbroken.

A handwritten note said: “You are a disgrace and you have been reported! Stay at Home Saves Lives.”

Bex said at first she thought it was some kind of gift because other nurses have received many gifts and gesture. I thought it was a good will gecture.

‘But when I opened it my heart just pounded in my throat. I just couldn’t believe how awful it was.’

She has no idea who sent the note but she guess that there might be a chance that one of her neighbours left the note.

Bex said: “Most neighbours know I am a single mum who has to drop my children off at my brother’s house to look after them.”

Her mother shared the letter on social media. She said: “She has just returned from the first of three-night shifts as a frontline nurse at Peterborough hospital.

To the vile, malicious person, who posted this through my daughter’s letterbox. To come home to this after working, you are the disgrace. She’s upset and probably won’t be able to sleep today, before going back to work tonight.

A little fact-checking would have gone a long way, instead of hiding behind an anonymous note through her door. I hope you’re proud of yourself,” she added.

A single mom who is working by risking the lives of her children when got this it is obvious she was in shock. In this pandemic, when we all are in our home with family Bex and many other medics are tackling the virus and working in frontline. We have to motivate them not to insult their duty.
