Lee Fierro, the best-known actress of Jaws has died after contracting coronavirus at the age of 91. Hollywood actress was living at an assisted care facility in Ohio where she died from complications with coronavirus.
She was a native of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. It is reported that the family of the late actress is planning a small funeral service in Ohio because of the current situation all around the world. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date once the pandemic has settled.
Fierro had played the role of Mrs. Kintner. She was best known for playing the role of mother of the second victim of the great white shark.
Fans will always remember her famous scene. In her famous scene, she slapped the Police Chief Brody after finding out that he had known that a shark was lurking in water but has allowed people to swim anyway.
Fierro had worked as a drama mentor at the Island Theatre workshop where she mentored more than 1,000 actors. She worked there for more than 25 years as an artistic director.
Board president of Island Theatre Workshop, Kevin Ryan, has talked about her death. He remembered her as an artistic director, mentor, dedicated performer and a businesswoman. He said that she was my mentor.
Fierro had five children, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
