Friends of Haley Anderson, a 22-year-old nursing student, revealed how they used Find My Friend App to locate Haley. Haley who lost contact with her friends and family on March 8, 2018, found dead on March 9.
Her friend Josie Artin disclosed that when she texted her she didn’t reply but she thought that maybe she was sleeping. Haley was a student of Binghamton University.
She was very sociable and loved by everyone in Binghamton. Josie said: “When I first didn’t hear from her, I didn’t think, “Oh, something terrible has happened.”
But when she couldn’t contact her all day she worried where she could be. Later it was revealed that she had been strangled to death by Orlando Tercero. But her friends first suspected him because Haley’s phone was discovered from her apartment.
Before she disappeared she had been drinking and playing games until 4 am. “She had told me she was going to come to watch me read poetry at poetry night that Thursday and then she didn’t show up,’ Artin added.
“We were all calling her and she didn’t answer. It was the next morning and we were like “this doesn’t make sense,” she said
One of Haley friend located her phone on Find My Friend App and the location was Orlando’s house. Find My Friend is an app on iPhone devices allow users to locate friends and family.
After finding the location they arrived at Orlando’s Apartment. He was not home at that time. They entered the apartment through a window and discovered the body of Anderson.
Authorities revealed that Haley left her home to met Orlando in her apartment in the morning of March 8. Orlando told his sister that he has done something terrible.
He tried to flee but was arrested and convicted of Femicide. On the trial day he said that he asked for romantic relationship but she denied and continued her relationship with other people.
