Dental nurse Linnette Cruz has lost her life to coronavirus in the intensive care unit at Morriston Hospital in Swansea. Mrs. Cruz worked as the senior head nurse at the Brynteg Dental Practice in Sketty, Swansea.
Previously, she worked as a dental surgery assistant in Kee Dental Care and Parkway clinic. Later she joined Brynteg as a dental duty nurse before qualifying as a senior head nurse.
Her death is deeply upsetting her family, friends, and colleagues. Her family included her son Jenoard, husband Jeonardy, sister Rose and her parents.
Dental Director of Swansea Bay University Health Board, Karl Bishop, said: “She was a very committed nurse. Her friends, colleagues, patients respected her very much. She was a caring lady.”
Almost 27 NHS workers lost their lives to novel coronavirus so far. Health Secretary Matt Hancock said that we will investigate every death of NHS workers.
