Mother-of-two Carol Jamabo who served as a care worker in the community for Cherish Elderly Care in Bury, Greater Manchester died from coronavirus.
She suddenly fell ill with coronavirus along with her youngest son at her home. As the times passes, her condition deteriorated. She was then transferred to ICU and put on a ventilator at Salford Royal Hospital. But unfortunately, she died from coronavirus.
Ms. Jamabo worked as a care worker for over 25 years after shifting to UK from Nigeria in the early 1990s. Earlier, she served in both the prison service and as an NHS administrator at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London.
She had two children Tonye Selema, 25, and Abiye Selema, 22. Her youngest son Abiye has also contracted coronavirus.
It was reported that she had no underlying health issues but did suffer from asthma. Her nephew Mr. Fiberesima said: “Her youngest son is in critical stage. And they only received phone call that the hospital is planning to turn off the ventilator. No one was by her side in her last moments.”
She had african backgrounds that’s why she was strict but at the same time she was a loving and caring person. She was a fun loving person.
