Beth’s father disclosed that the current lockdown has played a major part in her death. She felt that this three months lockdown was like 300 years for her. She could not go to college.
Beth became obsessed that this lockdown would never end. She was studying at Access Creative college in Greater Manchester. She gained popularity as a talented singer by performing regularly at local pubs.
Beth took her own life just after the first week of lockdown. Her mother Helen and father Mike shared the devastating news with the world to warn other parents. They said that they feared that there will be other teenagers who are struggling because of lockdown.
Her friends and teachers paid tribute to young singer. Her ex-teachers at sale high school said: “We are saddened to hear the news of Beth Palmer’s death. She was a talented student and everyone loved her who knew her.”
Her recent song recording before her death received 50K likes on Instagram. Beth’s family said that they are comforted that her musical legacy will live on.
