Begoña Gómez, the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, has been tested positive for coronavirus. Authorities said that the PM and his wife both are doing well.
They are following instructions of health authorities at their residence in La Moncloa Palace in Madrid.
Spain has quarantined 47million population and put the country under partial lockdown to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Spain is the second-worst affected country in Europe after Italy.
Two ministers of Sánchez’s Cabinet, the minister of equality & the minister of regional affairs, had already tested positive earlier this week.
Coronavirus has reached 149 countries and infected almost 156,885 and the death toll reached 5,839.
