Wuhan woman made her way down to eight-storeys building with bare hands

A 62-year-old woman in Wuhan has climbed down the eight-floor building with a bare hand. Her son locked her up in her room to prevent her from getting infected with the coronavirus.

The woman easily made her way to the ground and she was also carrying a bag of instant noddles with her.

The 62-year old woman was suffering from schizophrenia and she refused to take her medication. She reached the ground safely without getting hurt.

Footage floating on social media shows a woman in a green top descending along an outside wall of the building.

She escaped from her home on 16 February and remained missing for 8 days. When she returned home her son locked her up again to stop her from running away.

Local officials said: “She was caught by workers at a checkpoint in our village. We contacted her son and then took her to a hospital to have a check-up. She was found to be fine and we escorted her home along with her son. “
