A 54-year old woman from North Carolina suffered a punctured tire on a dark section of I-95 in Colleton County, South Carolina.
Lady stopped her car to change the tire. She was changing the tire of the car when her both crushed by a car.
“Woman removed the flat tire and was replacing it with the spare when the jack slipped causing the car to fall, crushing both of her hands between the tire and the fender,” the fire department said in a statement.
For almost 35 minutes her hands were stuck under the car. She was somehow able to slip off her shoes and dialed 911 with her toes.
Authorities arrived 8 minutes later. Her innovative thinking saved her life at that time. The woman suffered severe damage to her hands and fingers.
She was taken to a local hospital but her condition is not good.
