51-years old Stacy Sorensen secretly filmed the video of her husband assaulting a young victim. Her husband Mark Sorensen, 61, who had been a foster care parent for a dozen years, declared liable to two counts of first-degree criminal sexual assault.
Woman’s husband raped a 13-year-old child that’s when Stacy secretly filmed the assault. But Stacy deleted the video of the assault and continued her work. She works as a health care provider for Mercy health.
About tens days later she saw her husband again, via live streaming, raping the child. She waited about 24 hours and reported the assault to the Norton Shores Police Department. Authorities immediately arrested Mark Sorensen.
The woman was sentenced by a jury of crime tampering with evidence and failure to report abuse after she deleted the footage. She had watched the footage live, streaming it on her phone, according to a court brief.
During Stacy’s trial, she was charged with the crime that she left the innocent victims alone at her home with her rapist husband.
Stacy herself admitted that she used the child as bait to catch her husband in this act. She was sentenced a year in jail for tampering with the evidence. Stacy was allowed daytime release from jail so she can work. She also filed for divorce in court.
Her husband will serve at least 15 years in prison for the multiple rapes.
