UnionWave Entertainment, a newly established company recently announced its first girl group. The most unique and surprising part about UnionWave Entertainment’s new girl group is that the youngest two members aren’t from Korea or Asia at all.
UnionWave entertainment was established in Switzerland in April 2018. This year in February the company established its first branch in South-Korea.
The company shared the reason why they created the girl group with two non-Asian members. They said that they plan to create a “deep cultural link between Europe and Asia.
The girl group consists of a total of 5 members in which 2 members are Korean. Leader Gyeongmin who born in South-Korea wanted to be an idol since she was young. She learns musical instruments without formal teaching. Gyeongmin also speaks Chinese and English.
Another member named Chaerin also born in south-Korea. She was raised in the US and Russia. Chaerin’s English name is Rachel. She can speak Korean, English, and Russian fluently. She’ll be the group’s main rapper.
Another Asian member named Najeong is from Hong Kong. She is the main dancer of the group.
The first European member is Nia a she will be the main vocalist of the group. She is currently studying Korean. Her real name is Daniela Lacave. Nia is from Valencia in Spain. She is an ARMY.
The group’s maknae and main vocalist is Miriam. She was born in 2003 or 2004. Miriam Lucca is from Novara in Italy. Like Nia, she loves BTS and is currently studying Korean. Despite her young age, she has a flower tattoo on her left arm.
