Gill Smith moved to shanghai with her husband Pete and their two young sons. She jumped 38 floors to death from her family’s luxury apartment in China.
Mrs smith encountered a problem that she thought she was unable to solve by herself. The 44-year-old woman got herself into a hole which upon inquiring her family was unaware of.
Her husband Mr smith told that 2 weeks prior to her death she wasn’t her normal self. He said he specifically asked her three times what’s going on its not right and she replied with nothing was going on.
He furthermore told “My last conversation was over the phone she phoned to say I have just put the boys in a car and they will be with you in 20 minutes.”
He continued: “As we finished lunch and were coming down in the elevator, as we came out a text message came through and as soon as I got that message we set off back home.”
I phoned my PA to try to phone the building and get someone to get up to the apartment and phoned my friend’s wife. My friend’s wife was sat with Gill and my PA phoned me really upset and saying she was so sorry.”
Police officer Conor price told,” she left the access to phone and emails, the underlying theme appeared that she was sorry, it was clear she led a happy life with her family and her family was important to her and she cared about them.”
He further told: “it is clear from the evidence that she became quieter and was distressed but she didn’t want to talk about it so it’s difficult to understand what was on her mind but it seems clear from the notes she was is a situation that was not resolvable”
He continued “that given how close she was to her family she didn’t express her worries to anyone. I extend my condolences to all of you for the loss of somebody you all cared immensely about, I’m very sorry you have lost her from your lives.”
