25-year old woman name Nicole Lyons hit two teenage boys with her car for playing ‘knock and run’ at her home in a Cheshire village.
A 14-year old boy and his three friends were playing childhood prank in their village. When they knock the door of Nicole she shouted form the house window that she will slit their throat for this prank.
Soon afterward the mother-of-two drove her partner’s BMW at the boys, hitting two of them. One suffered a broken leg, while another injured his back and was suffered from wounds and bruises after being thrown into the air. Two boys were uninjured.
The boy whose leg was broken had to undergo emergency surgery. He spent three weeks in plaster.
Lyons was in police custody. Police found a threatening Facebook post on her mobile to a local resident group.
Post says: “Just so you know boys you messed with the wrong house. Do not come near my house again. You will have your throats ripped out, I’ve seen your faces. I will be speaking to your mummy’s and daddy’s [sic].”
She avoided jail after admitting her crime. Judge Simon Berkson told her that the boys ‘were innocent victims of [you] using the vehicle as a weapon.’
He added: “They were playing a teenage game that has been played in this country [for decades].”
The injured child said he still suffered anxiety. Another said he hadn’t been able to get Lyons’ ‘angry face and noise of the engine out of his head’.
Lyons, who apologized to the boys as she left the jail, was given 20 months in jail, suspended for 18 months, and a two-year driving ban.
