A woman in her 30s fell from the seventh floor and died in the early hours of this morning. Police found her body outside Clarendon House in Hove, Brighton, at 5.53 am.
When police arrived at the scene she was already dead. Police started an investigation and captured a 52-year old man on suspicion of murder.
It was reported by the police that the arrested man and woman know each other.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “A man has been detained by prosecutors investigating the death of a woman in Hove. At 5.53 am on Saturday police were called to Clarendon House, Clarendon Road, Hove, after a woman believed to be in her early 30s was reported to have fallen to the ground from the seventh floor of the flats.”
It was also revealed that the officers had recently been in contact with the man and the woman, meaning the case has also been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IOPC).
