A woman named Rebecca Lynn O’Donnell was arrested in the murder of a former senator from Arkansas state. Rebecca is facing new charges now for recruiting her cellmates to kill the victim’s ex-husband.
On June 4th, the former Arkansas state senator, Linda Collin Smith was found dead in her Randolph County home.
Rebecca was arrested weeks later by the police. She was charged with the murder of the victim, abuse of the victim’s corpse and damaging of evidence in the related case.
Reports say that after Rebecca went to jail, she tried recruiting her inmates many times to kill victims’ ex-husband Phil Smith and his wife.
In October she told one of the cellmates that she wanted smiths death to look like a suicide and the cellmate can steal gold and silver from his home as a method of payment.
Rebecca further told her cellmates that she is only targeting smith because he set her up, she continued to tell the cellmates that to burn her car which is in the police custody so all the evidence that she claimed was planted cam be eliminated.
New charges have been filed against Rebecca based on the information received from jail. She is still in the custody of Jackson County jail.
The family of the suspect told that they do not believe any of the latest allegations against her and they stand with her. While her fiance said his faith in her is unwavering.
