Taylor swift’s new Netflix documentary was dropped on Wednesday. Nobody saw Swift for an entire year, she went into hiding and came back as a new different person. The Documentary “Miss Americana” gives the viewers to glance inside the process.
The pop sensation shared a two-minute clip of the documentary on her twitter and Instagram giving her followers a first look into the project. She captioned the post with ” it’s been a long time”.
The trailer indicated that the documentary will dig deep into swift’s absence from the fame and public attention and her comeback as a new person, her independence that was the result of self-exploration.
“Miss Americana” directed by Lana Wilson will narrate Swift’s astonishing change from a wholesome country artist to a politically minded diva who walks to the beat of her own banjo.
Swift said ” Throughout my career, label executives say a nice girl doesn’t force their opinions on people, I became the person everyone wanted me to be” She further said, ” nobody physically saw me for a year and that was what I thought they wanted”. At one point in the trailer, she reflects ” I had to deconstruct an entire belief system, toss it out and reject it”
Swift’s mother Andrea Swift who was diagnosed with a brain tumor and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn is also featured in the documentary. Miss Americana will be out on January 31st on Netflix and select theaters.
