UFC 245: Amanda Nunes beats Germaine de Randamie

Brazilian mixed martial artist Amanda Nunes considered as ‘Greatest of all the time’ has defeated Germaine de Randamie in UFC 245 at Las Vegas. Nunes earned a unanimous decision nod over challenger Randamie.

Nunes, a dual-division champion who has succeeded nine straight fights and is attempting the fifth continuous defense of her bantamweight title bout against De Randamie, a former UFC featherweight titleholder who has accomplished five straight fights on the main card.

Amanda (19-4) maintained her women’s bantamweight title belt, making her fifth defense.

The first round was tough for de Randamie (9-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC). After a few knocks on feet, Nunes got an advantageous position on the ground. Nunes blows dozens of strikes standing over de Randamie.

In the second round, former featherweight controlled the game by knocking the champion. But after that Nunes succeeded in making the game in her favor.

GDR’s final three rounds were confined to a hard upkick she landed in round three and triangle attempt in round 4. The final round was all of Nunes.

After the game, Nunes took to the mike and gave her sympathies to her friend Walt Harris’s step-daughter Aniah Blanchard who was recently murdered.
