A group of female students has been praised for their bravery who rescued their male friend from police during the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) protest.
Two female students identified as Ayesha Renna and Ladeeda Fazana stood up against the brutality of Delhi police. A video floating on social media which showed five female students gathered around a male student who was brutally beaten by a policeman.
A policeman grabbed a male student and dragged him out onto the road and start beating him mercilessly with batons. But the five female students form a protective ring around him and protect him from the police.
Delhi police charged baton and fired tear gas on students who were protesting against the citizenship bill in Jamia Milia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University.
Top Indian journalist Barkha Dutt talked to two female students over their sheroic behavior at the time when police beat their male friend. They said at that time “we are not scared and we thought that if we will fight we will fight together and if we will die we will die together.”
