Roxette singer Marie Fredriksson died at age 61, she was suffering from a brain tumour when she fainted at her home in 2002. Marie was a member of the punk group Strul. Even after her illness, she continued to record music as a solo artist.
Marie was born in the outside village of Sweden on 30th May 1958. She learned music and musical instruments when her parents used to stay out of the home to earn for their children. Her siblings and friends helped her learn a lot.
Before being starting her carrier as a singer she was involved in local theatre. She formed the punk group in 1978, the group involved talented line-up of musicians she then afterwards continued her solo career.
In 2002 she fainted because of nauseous later on she was diagnosed with Brain Tumour. She is best known for singing strong ballads like ‘It must have been love’ and ‘Listen to your heart’. She fought with her illness for a very long time. Marie’s family announced that we have lost a talented artist, she will be buried in silence only with the family members.
