PTCL confirms major internet service outage in Pakistan

Internet services have been impacted in Pakistan due to fault in the submarine cable as reported by Pakistan telecommunication company Limited (PTCL).

PTCL confirms the disruption in internet services through Twitter. They wrote: ” Due to international submarine cable fault, internet services have been impacted in Pakistan. Technical teams are working on fully restoring internet services in the shortest possible time. PTCL sincerely regrets this temporary inconvenience caused to valued customers.

Users are facing problems in internet browsing quality. Many took to Twitter to express their anger.

PTCL did make a follow up tweet after this:

PTCL apologised for the inconvenience caused by slow internet service and they said that they will notified user as soon as internet starts working.

Both PTA and PTCL did not confirm how long it would take to restore internet services in the country.
