It has been several months since Bollywood superstar Priyanka hit the headlines with her controversial tweets regarding war and the rising tension between Pakistan and India. The 37-year-old was asked to clarify the meaning behind the message she sent out by a young American Pakistani blogger by the name of Ayesha Malik at a Beauty Con in Los Angeles and was quickly wrapped up in controversy when the actress did not answer.
Now in a recent interview, Priyanka finally spoke her mind and said that she was never the kind of person who would promote war and will never be in the future either. She further added that the whole incident was unfortunate and something like this should never have happened in the first place.
Chopra commented that the kind of work she has done over the past several years is evidence itself and does not need to prove herself to anyone. She believes that celebrities or other influential personalities have great power and with great power comes great responsibility, especially the responsibility to be exemplary role models and feel like it is part of her job to motivate and inspire those that follow, support and love her.
