Maryam Nawaz submitted a petition in LHC to remove her name from ECL

Vice president of PML-N, Maryam Nawaz, filed a petition in Lahore High Court through Advocate Amjad Pervez for removal of her name from ECL.

In her petition, she mentioned Chairman of NAB, Federal government, FIA director-general, passport and immigration director-general and others as answerer.

Maryam wrote in the petition: ” “I returned to Pakistan with my father [Ex PM Nawaz Sharif] despite being sentenced in the Al-Azizia reference. The notice issued on August 20, 2018, was illegal. I have been regularly appearing in the courts and therefore, I should be allowed to travel abroad till a final decision on the appeal.”

Maryam requests the LHC to issue a decision to remove her name from ECL and gave her permission to visit her father who is in London for treatment. She said that she is under a lot of stress because of her father’s health condition. She appeals to the LHC to grant her permission to travel abroad. The petition will be heard on December 9, 2019.
