Lolita star Sue Lyon has passed away at the age of 73 in Los Angeles. She was suffering from health problems as her friend Phil Syracopoulos reported.
She was known for her role in Stanley Kubrick’s controversial 1962 film, Lolita. She was cast at just 14 years old.
Lyon got the role in Lolita over 800 other girls. Lolita was the film based on the novel of Vladimir Nabokov. He described the actress as the “perfect nymphet.”
Lyon was married five-time in her life. She tied the knot with Cotton Adamson, Hampton Fancher, Roland Harrison, Edward Weathers and Richard Rudman, whom she divorced in 2002.
