The Islamabad High court appoints its first-ever female judge on Friday. The notification of the judges’ appointment was issued on Thursday by the Ministry of Law and Justice.
Lubna Saleem Pervaiz, a first female who is appointed as the judge of IHC. The other two male judges who are appointed are Fiaz Anjum Jardan and Ghulam Azam Qambrani.
President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has approved the selection of three judges in the IHC and after this number of serving judges increased from 4 to 7.
Previously, Lubna Saleem Azam was working as Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Karachi at Sindh High Court (SHC).
Newly appointed judges took oath on Friday. IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah administered the oath to them.
