Govt decides not to remove Maryam Nawaz’s name from ECL, says Vawda

Maryam Nawaz, vice president of PML-N filed a petition in Lahore High Court for removal of her name from ECL so that she visits her father, Nawaz Sharif. But the government has decided not to remove the name of Maryam from the Exit control list.

Federal Minister for water resources Faisal Vawda said that in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday he told the PM Imran khan that we won’t tolerate ‘platelets drama’ once again.

Vawda said that every time leaders of PML-N runs away and their workers get caught. He said that this time if the name is removed from ECL than they will challenge it in the court.

Maryam Nawaz filed a petition in LHC regarding the decision of her name removal from ECL and she also requested the court that they allowed her to meet her father who is in London for treatment.

The LHC asked the government to decide whether to remove the name of Maryam from ECL or not within the next seven days.

Maryam also questioned the decision of putting her name in ECL. She said that the court didn’t hear her argument properly and asked the court to remove her name from the no-fly list.
