A young female reporter was groped by a runner while reporting live on race in Savannah. Alexandrea Bozajian, a reporter on WSAV3-TV was doing a live broadcast when suddenly a man approached her and hit her from behind.
The runner was later identified as Tommy Callaway who intentionally hit her on the rear end in front of the camera. The video of her live broadcast floating on the internet. After a million of views, police have started the investigation.
Alexandrea shared a tweet and responded to the man after an hour of this incident. She wrote: “To the man who hit my butt on live TV this morning. You violated, objectified, and embarrassed me. No woman should ever have to put up with this at work or anywhere. Do better.”
In an interview, Alex said: ” It’s not okay to help yourself to a woman’s body just because you feel like it in order to make any kind of change, you have to be a little bit drastic. And you have to chip away at this toxic culture that permeates our society.”
Alex told the police that he grabbed her and hit her from the back. Police officials said that she wanted to pursue criminal charges against him.
Thomas Callaway came forward and apologize for his action. He said that he was trying to pat on Alex’s shoulder but he realized after seeing the video that where he actually hit her.
