People in Karachi gathered near Teen Talwar to protest because there is no progress in the Dua Mangi case. Dua Nisar Mangi was kidnapped from Karachi’s DHA at gunpoint on Saturday night.
Dua was with her friend Haris at the time of kidnapping who also got a bullet for putting up resistance. People stage a protest and demand the immediate recovery of the girl.
There is still no progress shown by the police. CCTV footage of different areas was gathered but still, the only clue they got was that the abductors are related to a criminal gang and they used the stolen car in the abduction.
The protestors include the students, some political leaders, members of civil society, friends and family members of Dua. They are holding the placards and chanting the slogans, demanding her immediate recovery.
Protesters blocked one side of the road in front of the Hilal-e-Ahmar House and warned the authorities that if they further delayed the investigation, they start protest across the province.
Renowned playwright and novelist, Noor-ul Huda Shah, who was at the protest site said: “The troubles of political leaders pale before that of an individual. Politicians must set aside their problems and aid this family in their time of need.”
