UNHCR sent a heartwarming letter to Mahira Khan’s Parents

The Pakistani Superstar Mahira Khan recently got selected by UNHCR as a goodwill ambassador in Pakistan. It is an organization that works for the rights, protection, and betterment of Refugees around the globe.

After the selection, the UNHCR wrote heartwarming letter to Mahira Khan’s parents as she availed the opportunity. UNHCR wrote to her parents that, I wish to express my sincere congratulations on the selection of your daughter Mahira khan as the first national goodwill ambassador in Pakistan. They also said that Mahira is an inspiration to so many in Pakistan, especially to the younger generations.

Mahira Khan took her Instagram to share her happiness with her fans and posted the snap of the letter with her response in the caption.

She said that she has got the sweetest letter from UNHCR which made me emotional. Adding that the letter brought tears in my mother’s eyes and my father was smiling wholeheartedly.

She further said that she is grateful for the opportunity she is given by her country, fans and her loved ones and she is looking forward and is hopeful that she will hold to her responsibilities to serve humanity.

She ended her response with an emotional dedication to her parents saying “forever grateful, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hafeez R khan.”
