A Muslim American girl name Feroza Aziz has been blocked by Chinese owned app TikTok for sharing a video in which she lashed out at the Chinese government for its treatment of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang.
In a video, Feroza was giving a makeup tutorial and after a few seconds, she was talking about the imprisonment of Uighur Muslims and other minority communities in its far northwest.
The girl said that when she posted the video she was blocked by the TikTok app and the video was removed from Twitter as well.
The company said that they removed the video because of ‘human moderation error’. They have recovered video after a few times when their technical team detects the issue and they express regret for this error.
Human rights organizations and other specialists said that more than one million Uighur & Muslim minorities have been locked in camps by the Chinese regime.
China at first refused the statement that the camps exist but after that, they said that those were not camps and labeled them as professional schools.
Tiktok said that they also unlocked the old account of the girl which was locked because of a video starring Osama bin Laden.
Girl on Twitter said: “Do I imagine they took it away due to an irrelevant sarcastic video that was removed on an earlier removed my profile? Proper after I completed placing a three half video concerning the Uyghurs? No.”
