#RIPHumanity: woman raped, murdered and burnt in Hyderabad, India

In Hyderabad, a woman’s burnt body has been found after she was raped and murdered. The victim’s name was Priyanka Reddy and she was 27-year old and a veterinary doctor.

It is reported that the body of the 27-year-old victim was found by a passerby on Nov 28th on the outskirts of the city in an underpass.

Four people have been detained by the police names as Muhammad Areef, Jollu Naveen,Chennakeshavulu and Jolly Shiva. The police suspects that two of those people offered the help to woman to fix the flat tyre of her motorbike but they took her to a hidden place and then killed her there.

The woman’s body was so badly burnt that she could not be identified and her family only recognized her because of the locket she was wearing.

The veterinary doctor’s mother said that “My daughter was very innocent and I want the accused to be burnt alive”.

Her sister reported her missing on Tuesday, she received a very distressing call from the victim that her motorbike tyre was punctured. The victim asked her sister to remain on the call with her as she was extremely scared with many unknown men in the area.

Victim’s sister continued that during the call it seemed like someone offered her help and the she told her sister that she would call her again but she never did and that was the last time they talked.

Her body was found on Thursday but the police are still searching for her vehicle. India is considered the most dangerous country to be a woman and many cases such as this are taking place one after another.

After the heartbreaking incident the netizens have trended #RIPhumanity and when will their daughters be safe? This user states that the veterinary doctor was safer with animals than with humans.

About all of the cases listed in the tweet took place in a single day in India.

Netizens are asking the Indian government to hang the culprit so that no other incident of such kind takes place.
