Hijabi woman confronts a man over antisemitic abuse on children

A man has been arrested after he targeted Jewish children with antisemitic abuse on the London train. The video of him targeting children with antisemitic abuse went viral.

The man’s identity is not yet released by the police. the police stated that the man was captured because in Birmingham on Saturday he was suspected of a racially aggravated public order offense.

As told by the police the incident happened when on Friday evening on the London train the man was reading anti bible passages to a Jewish family who were traveling in the train.

The incident was caught on the video and then in the video when the fellow passengers tried to intervene the man threatened them, later a Hijabi woman names Asma Shuwaikh stepped up and confronted the man.

Asma told a news agency that when she saw what was happening, she knew that she had to confront the man. She further stated “I would have loved more people to come up and say something because if everyone did, I do not think it would have escalated the way it did”

Asma continued saying ” being a mother of two, I know whats it’s like to be in that situation and I would like someone to help if I was in that situation”

The video further showed that the family that was targeted stayed calm, the man wrapped his arms around the boy who was seated next to the abusive man. He is seen whispering ignore it in the boy’s ear.

The passenger who shared the video on social media is Chris Atkins he told that Asma Shuwaikh was firm and persistent, and continued that in this day and age we are told how intolerant everyone is and how all religions hate one another and there you had a Muslim woman sticking up for some Jewish children.
