Girls Generation’s Taeyeon Album ‘Purpose’ topped iTunes charts worldwide

Kim Taeyeon is a member of a South Korean singer of a girl group Girl Generation under the company SM entertainment. Taeyeon debuted in 2017 as a member of Girl Generation before that she was a trainee at SM entertainment.

Taeyeon is 30 years old and in 2015 she debuted as a soloist with her first extended play named I. the title track was number 1 at Gaon digital charts and number two at South Korea’s Gaon Album charts.

Taeyeon released her second studio album “purpose’  on the 28th of October. The album ‘purpose’ has topped several international iTunes charts securing no.1 position.

In 21 different countries including Singapore, Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Qatar, and more the album topped the charts securing 1st spot.

The title track spark has topped the real-time music charts in Korea, while the music video of the song achieved no 1 spot on Korean MV charts of China’s largest music site.

‘Spark’ is an alternative soul-pop genre track that is featuring Taeyeon’s impressive vocals over a powerful melody.

Taeyeon’s fans are overwhelmed by her new release and tweeting about how the song made an impact. Some other famous Korean pop singers posted their Instagram stories listening to Taeyeon’s song ‘spark’

Taeyeon will also sing the Korean Ost ‘ into the unknown’ of the Disney movie Frozen 2
