First female army officer from Pakistan to receive SRSG certificate

Women in the Pakistan army are behind to none and are breaking the barriers. Major Samia Rehman is the female officer in the Pakistan army who has been awarded for her exceptional accomplishments in the line of duty. Samia honored Pakistan’s name by winning the UN SRSG certificate of the year 2019 for her exceptional performance

Samia Rehman was selected for the United Nations Special Representative of the General Secretary (SRGS)certificate this year. Samia is the first female army officer of Pakistan to receive this certificate.

The certificate was presented to her by AFC Maj Gen Thierry Lion on behalf of the SRSG. This certificate was awarded to her because of her outstanding performance in Mission level Studies, Analysis, and other valuable contributions.

She is the first female peacekeeper of the Pakistan army who has received this highest level of recognition. Her conduct and professionalism is a guiding beacon to all woman across Monusco.
