American-south African actress Charlize Theron who is famous for playing dark and complex roles was awarded on Friday for her fearless acting career. She has done so many roles in movies that highlight issues such as sexual harassment and sexual abuse and straggling women.
On Friday Night at Beverley Hills Gala, she was given the prestigious Cinematheque American award as other stars including Kristen Stewart, Seth Rogen, and David Oyelowo were also there to honor her career.
She has won several awards for being the best actress including Oscar nod and best actress academy award in 2004. The actress was born in The Small town of South Africa and when she was 15 her mother shot his father as self-defense and her drunken father died. After that in the 1990s, she went to Los Angeles and started her career from the movie “the devil’s advocate”.
The Director of “Nully” and “young adult” Jason Reitman said that Charlize is the most fearless actress and human being I have ever met and worked with.
Charlize tweeted that she is overwhelmed with the gratitude tonight and she thanked for the honor she was given.
When Hollywood turned blind eye to the Sexual harassment issues, her new movie came named “North country” in which she played the character of a woman who was sexually abused and was seeking justice.
After that movie a decade later the #metoo movement started in Hollywood.
