A woman was captured at Chinese border for trying to smuggle gold ingots

A Russian woman was arrested near the Chinese border by the Russian customs officials because she had nearly 2 kg of gold in her shoe.  She was suspected after she was walking strangely.

A spokeswoman for the regional authorities Marina told that “ the women were detained in eastern Siberia at a customs post after it was noted by the officials that she was walking strangely and acting nervously”

She continued “ the Russian woman strangely placed one foot in front of other”. It was discovered by a search later that a total of eight pieces of gold were present in her shoes. the gold weighs nearly about 2 kg.

A statement said, “ the gold pieces were attached to the sole of the shoes with duct tape also the value of the gold was about $79000”.

The gold bars were made illegally, lacking all the necessary documents. A criminal case was filed against the women and the authorities and they told that she was trafficking gold illegally at the request of a Chinese citizen.

Since the start of this year, many Russians have been detained by officials because they were trying to smuggle gold to china recently in august another woman was arrested because she was carrying 10 gold ingots in her trainers.
