Speakers of a two-day national conference on “ Pivotal role of Dukhtran e Pakistan in Peace Building and Harmonization of Society” at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIU) on Tuesday stated that empowerment of women was vital to eradicate the terrorism. The meaningful role of women can lead society to a prosperous pathway.
On the second day of the conference titled “Pivotal role of Dukhtran e Pakistan in Peace Building and Harmonization of Society” the first lady of Pakistan joined the book introductory session of the conference.
First lady Samina Alvi said that women must play their role in eradicating extremism from society. She said that Islam gives equal rights to women and we must portray Pakistan as a peace-loving country and without the participation of women development of society is unachievable.
Samina Alvi also talks about breast cancer awareness. She said that in Pakistan in every fifteen minutes one woman dies. Furthermore, she said breast cancer at the early stage is curable. She also requests the men of the society to consider breast cancer seriously.
She also praised the effort of IIUI females for Dukhtran-e-Pakistan and she said that Pakistani women are an envoy of peace.
Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai also addresses the ceremony. He said IIUI put all its efforts to spread the narrative of Paigham-e-Pakistan to the world. Rector of IIUI said that women have the power to change the fate of the Muslim world. 16 thousand females of IIUI will work as an envoy of Paigham-e-Pakistan.
President of IIUI also addresses the ceremony on the second day of the conference titled “Pivotal role of Dukhtran e Pakistan in Peace Building and Harmonization of Society”. He said that Islam is a religion of peace and Islam always discourage extremism, terrorism, and radicalization. He elaborated on the role of women in Islamic history. He said that mothers are the best teachers and mind builders who can nurture children to fight the threat of terrorism in the future.
Vice president female campus IIUI Dr. Farkhanda Zia discusses the main point of her book ‘Dukhtran-e-Pakistan.’ She said that this book helps women to know their role that how can they help in the eradication of extremism from society. She stressed upon women to play an active role in defeating violence and asked them to be a contributor for building a harmonized and sustainable society. Dr. Farkhanda said that women must play an active role to disseminate the narrative which says that radicalism and viciousness have no place in Islam and Pakistani society.
Dr. Qibla Ayaz Chairman of Council of Islamic ideology concluded the two-day national session. He said that women are an integral part of our society. They must play their role to eradicate radicalism from culture.
