Pakistani cricketer Sana Mir confer with Asia Society Game Changer award

Former captain of the Pakistan national women’s cricket team, Sana Mir, received the 2019 Asia society Game changers award at a ceremony in New York. She and 6 other Asian females were bestowed with this award because of their ‘transformative impact ‘in Asia.

Chan Heng Chee, Asia Society Co-Chair, said while bestowing her with the award: “Sana Mir is a true victor in her field. She is the winner who is a motivation for the girls of her profession and to the other females of different profession.

Asia Society is the prominent educational foundation devoted to encouraging common understanding and building up collaborations among people, influential, organizations of Asia and the US in a global context.

It is a prestigious award that is awarded to the true leader who makes their influence in cricket.

Sana said: “She hopes that the heads of today and the future have an eye which saw the dreams of children and protect their basic rights despite their cast, color, religion & nationality. She said that she is very delighted to receive this award. She said that she feels the honor to exemplify her nation & the cricket.
