Ministry of human rights appoint Mehwish Hayat as a goodwill ambassador for the rights of girl child

Ministry of human rights plans to start an awareness campaign for the “Rights of the girl child” on the international day of the girl child on October 11, 2019. Pakistani film actress Mehwish Hayat has been chosen as the goodwill ambassador of the girl child.

She will lend her voice to the girl across Pakistan. She helps the Pakistani girls and ensures that they get their basic human rights. She ensures that girl of Pakistan enjoys the right to education, health, freedom, etc.

Mehwish said: “ When we give rights to a girl without any inequity they reach their full potential.” Hayat help in creating alertness on the rights of the girl child.

The main aim of the international day of girl is to empower girl and highlights the challenges they are facing in today’s world. On this special day, special messages were painted on the local truck to give a positive message for the rights of a girl .

Mehwish Hayat shared a video on Twitter in which she said that she is pleased to be chosen by the Ministry of Human Rights as a Goodwill Representative for the rights of the girl child. She said: “This is something close to me & I look forward to actively raising alertness of the issues to be addressed. Let’s give girls a better future they deserve.”
