The Indian tennis superstar Sania Mirza is all set to make a comeback at the Australian Open that will take place in January. The doubles legend is ready to step on the court once again after giving birth to her son Izhaan Mirza in the previous year.
Its been a while since she last set foot in the international arena. Sania says she is ready to compete against other first time mothers Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka in an effort to bring home the title.
Mirza has been updating her fans about her fitness regime by posting videos on Instagram. She tries to get in about two and a half hours of playing tennis in the morning before her son gets up and has been doing pilates, cardio and strength training to get strong and healthy. She can be seen adding in some leg work to her exercise routine.
“Day 8- it was the new week and I was feeling more and more myself and the work our felt part of who I am again .. body was better , fitter, stronger and just more energy .. but the two ain’t was also going to get harder and mentally I needed to be ready .. but I was so excited that I was gonna start playing that i guess I was focusing all my energy on that ..like I said i- it’s all a state of mind 😏 #mummahustles 🙃” posted Sania
The athlete knows it’s not only about physical strength, but its also about sharpening the mind and simultaneously tuning the body to act faster, to improve agility and to remain energized throughout the tour.
Fans hope to see Sania 2.0 up and running towards victory.
