Mahindra & Mahindra introduces India’s 1st Women Operated Workshop

The car manufacturing enterprise Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (M&M) has established a workshop in Jaipur and the fact that it will be entirely run by women is a completely new concept introduced for the very first time in the country. It is managed by Kaylan Motors a seller of M&M’s facilities & will be managed and controlled by a group of women who will work and carry out various roles.

A representative of M&M and Chief of Marketing & Sales Veejay Ram Nakra commented that through this project they tend to empower and enrich females with talent, develop their expertise & have gender-diverse labor in its workshops.

The launched service station will become a  wider part of the company’s efforts known by the name of “Pink Collar” to encourage an increase in the hiring of females in core activities and dynamic positions and jobs in its motor car work stations across the state. Furthermore, the firm has also announced not to receive training fee of females dealer workers and has persuaded traders to engage one-third females as trainees.
