Australian player Lisa Keightley selected as Head coach for England women Cricket

England cricket board (ECB) has selected their first female head coach Lisa Keightley for the England Women Cricket. The 48-year-old Australian Lisa is the First Full-time female coach.

She has served in England women’s academy as a head coach in the year 2011 & 2015. She will start serving as a head coach of the team in January next year.  

According to the managing director of women’s cricket Clare Connor says that Lisa is the only best out of all the candidates we so far interviewed. She has clear views and vision and she is confident as to how she is going to take the team toward success.

On the other hand, Lisa is also very excited about her new achievement. Lisa said it is a great opportunity for her and she is really excited to work with the great and competitive team and with the people whom she has worked with in the past. She said she is looking forward to getting along with the team and lead them to progress.

According to the reports, the Interim coach will lead the team until Lisa joins the Team in January.

Lisa is currently serving as the head coach of Western Australia and Women Big Bash League. She has also been selected as a head coach of the London spirit but after joining England team a new candidate will be placed on her position.
