BCB announced on Sunday that the Indian coaches of Bangladesh women cricket team staff will not visit Pakistan for international series next month because of political tensions between Pakistan and India.
The tension between both nuclear rivals increase when Modi government canceled the sovereignty of Indian occupied Kashmir. As there will be three T20 international and one ODI international will take place in Qadhafi Stadium from October 26 to November 4 Bangladesh women team have to play at series.
Before the tour Bangladesh team will check the security to decide whether this tour will take place or not.
Chief executive Nizamuddin said that if the tour will take place then the head coach Anju Jain, assistant coach Devika Palshikar and trainer Kavita Pandey won’t be able to join them in this tour.
But they travel with the Bangladesh team when they play the women’s Asia Cup in Sri Lanka from October 20 to 28.
Bangladesh women cricket team executive said they will have another team traveling to Sri Lanka at the same time and they decide to send the Indian coaches with that squad to Sri Lanka instead of Pakistan to avoid any tension.
They said that the team is hesitant to visit Pakistan because of 2009 military assault on a bus with Sri Lankan squad to Lahore. Bangladesh squad last paid a visit to Pakistan in 2015.
